American Made Flooring

American Made Flooring

We’re proud to have served the greater St. Louis, Belleville, Madison and St. Clair counties and surrounding areas for 25 years. Owning and operating a business in America is something millions of people all over the world dream about. We are indeed living the dream! But what makes a local flooring store even more unique is the American manufactured flooring. In fact, the world’s largest flooring manufacturers - Shaw Industries and Mohawk Flooring – are based in Georgia with a large portion of their manufacturing within a 100 miles of their corporate offices. While there are still viable and beautiful imported flooring options, if you’re looking for hardwood, carpet, laminate, tile, or vinyl flooring, you’ll be happy to know American ingenuity and craftsmanship created the majority of our selections right here in America.
In 2015, 60 Minutes exposed Lumber Liquidators for selling imported laminate flooring with high levels of formaldehyde (a known carcinogen) and for making hardwood flooring in China from illegally cut Mongolian oak trees in Russia. As a result, consumers began to take notice of where flooring was made and how it was made.
Here’s why we select, sell, and encourage our customers to buy American made flooring and from American manufacturers:
  1. There is peace of mind knowing products must comply with the US Consumer Product Safety Commission.
  2. Should there be is an issue with your flooring purchase, we have a means of recourse. We have strong relationships with our flooring suppliers and choose to do business with them based on their product quality, selection, and integrity.
  3. Many foreign product safety standards are low and unsafe worker conditions are allowed in many countries. When you buy American you support not only American manufacturers but also American workers, safe working conditions, and child labor laws.
  4. US manufacturing processes are much cleaner for the environment versus many other countries which utilize dangerous, heavily polluting processes. When you purchase American-made product, you know that you're helping to keep the world a little cleaner for us all.
  5. Buying products from local businesses and buying American-made creates jobs. According to ABC World News, if every American spent an extra $3.33 on U.S.A-made products per year, it would generate nearly 10,000 new jobs in the nation.
